It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. As many residents are now decorating their homes, officials are urging residents to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity.

On Thursday morning, Sullivan City Police received a call regarding a Christmas decoration theft. What was taken was a 9 foot tall minion from the front of a house. Two weeks prior to this, an individual was caught on camera walking away with an inflatable snowman.

“On November the 21st also between the morning hours of 3 and 6 am there was another where they stole from the snowman as well we are looking for male Hispanic medium built.”

The Police Chief tells Fox News residents should place identifying marks on all decorations to help determine ownership.

“Make sure they either permeated mark or engraving their decorations with their names. Some type of identification phone number or number so in case something¬† like this were to happen, it’s easily reportable to the police department and we have something to work with.”

The chief adds homeowners should also try to secure their decorations throughout the nighttime hours to help prevent thefts.
