Robbery Suspect Armed with Screwdriver Arrested

Mission(KFXV) —  Authorities arrested the man accused of robbing a loan business Monday.

Authorities say he used a screwdriver to scare the employee into opening the safety deposit for him.

Authorities were able to get a warrant for his arrest after the teller at the loan business recognized him as a previous customer at that establishment; surveillance video and footage from cameras located at different points throughout the city lead them to the suspect.

The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Christopher Guerra; authorities say he was hiding out with his girlfriend.

“We were able to track him down yesterday at about 6 o’clock in the afternoon, he was staying at a hotel with his girlfriend.”

His girlfriend was also arrested for helping Guerra elude authorities but she was released as police continue to investigate her role.
