Real Estate Scheme Dismantled in Cameron County

CAMERON COUNTY – Cameron County District Attorney Investigators dismantle a county-wide real estate scheme aimed at defrauding thousands of dollars from their victims.

‘Operation Surreal Estate’ began in July after the D.A.’s office was tipped on the on-going scheme, where home buyers were lured into investing or purchasing properties with false deeds. Four people since have been arrested. While three others, including the prime suspect Allan Ramirez Rodriguez, are still on the loose.
