One of Two Bank Robbery Suspects behind Bars, another Remains on the Run

A bank robbery case is one step closer to being closed; McAllen police tell us they’ve got one of the two robbery suspects in custody.

The bank robbery happened Monday, May 16 at this Wells Fargo, located on East Jackson Avenue in McAllen. Tonight, one of the suspects, Valeria Garcia, is behind bars.

34-year-old Valeria Garcia was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon.

The FBI is aiding McAllen PD in the investigation. Both agencies are now setting their sights on locating 36-year-old Joseph Robert Nocar.

According to authorities, Nocar walked into this Wells Fargo bank unarmed, handed the teller a note and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officials tell us Joseph Robert Nocar has tattoos on both forearms, and walks with a limp.
