In Mission two schools were placed on lockdown this afternoon after reports of shots fired.
O’Grady Elementary School and K. White Junior High School were both on lockdown for 15 minutes after Mission P.D. received 911 calls from concerned neighbors about shots fired in the area.
Mission police arrested a young male near the area of 800 west 24th St., we’re told he fired a pistol into the air.
Four casings were found in the front yard, soon after, a handgun was found inside a home that matched the bullet casings.
Police later learned that the young man taken into custody did have a prior criminal record.
His arraignment is set to be scheduled for tomorrow.
