Former D.A. Investigator Aida Palacios Sentenced

Former Hidalgo County district attorney’s office investigator Aida Palacios has been sentenced for drug trafficking conspiracy.
Aida Palacios will serve two and a half years in prison after she watched her boyfriend, Julio Armando Davila, bribe former Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Treviño and former commander Joe Padilla with cash in 2011.
Palacios pleaded guilty on April 8th to working with a drug trafficking organization based out of Hargill.
FOX 2 NEWS spoke to Hidalgo County District Attorney, Rene Guerra about Palacio’s conviction.
Palacios was accompanied by her family during today’s sentencing.
