Sand Bag Distribution In The Rio Grande Valley

HIDALGO COUNTY

McAllen

Friday, July 24, 12:00 p.m. at 7:00 p.m. at the McAllen Youth Baseball Complex, located at 8201 N. 29th Street.

They will be delivered by self-service.

Proof of residency, such as a utility bill, must be presented. Residents are limited to six each and businesses are limited to 12 bags each. There are a limited number of shovels available, so residents are encouraged to be patient or bring their own. Everyone should wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Distribution for the elderly and people with disabilities:

McAllen Public Works Recycling Center, located at 4101 N. Bentsen Rd., From 12:00 p.m. at 7:00 p.m.

Proof of residency is required. Sandbags will be loaded on vehicles.

Pharr

At the Pharr Research and Development Center, at the Pharr Sports Complex and at the Pharr Events Center from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

You must present residence and pack your own bag.

Edinburg

Until 7:00 pm at the Edinburg Service Center located at 1201 N. Doolittle Rd.

The city will provide:

6 bags for residences.

8 bags for business.

If you have your own sandbags, you can also fill them.

Mission

Starting at 1pm at Lions Park

Maximum 7 bags per residence.

Mercedes

Friday from 2 to 4 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm at Sunset Park, FM 1014 outside Mile 11 north and mile 1 1/2 west, in Mercedes. For more information call (956) 9688733.

CAMERON COUNTY

Residents can pick up the sandbags this Friday, July 24 from 10:00 a.m. at 6:00 p.m. or Saturday July 25 from 8:00 a.m. at 12:00 p.m.

Commissioner’s Warehouse – Precinct 1: 2050 S. Browne Ave., Brownsville, TX 78521

Commissioner’s Warehouse – Precinct 2: 7092 Old Alice Road, Brownsville, TX 78251

Commissioner’s Warehouse – Precinct 3: 26945 FM 510, San Benito, TX 78586

Commissioner Precinct 4 Warehouse: 26623 White Ranch Road, La Feria, TX 78559

Harlingen

At 404 south of 54th Street, until 7pm.

They require a Harlingen residency ID and a water bill.

The bags will be delivered by self-service and residents will be able to take 6 to 12 packages.

San Benito

Distribution will be until 8 pm at the City Service Center, located at 925 West Stenger.

Requires face cover and proof of residency.

5 sandbags will be delivered per home and 10 per business.

Port Isabel

Port Isabel Public Works will distribute sandbags to residents from 2 to 6 p.m. in his office, located at 217 W. Hickman.

Each household can receive up to six bags. Proof of residency (driver’s license) is required to collect the sandbags.

WILLACY COUNTY

Willacy County will release sandbags beginning at 10:30 a.m.

At the Sebastian Fire Department, at the Lasara Community Center, at Precinct No. 2 Barn, east of Raymondville at 186. At Precinct No. 3 barn, South Business 77, Lyford, Texas ( won). At Lyford City Hall and at San Perlita City Hall as well as the Fire Station.
