The dome shelter will provide much needed relief to local hospitals as they’ve reached maximum capacity and the number of COVID-19 cases continue to grow.
Mercedes City Council held an emergency meeting to discuss the dome’s temporary use for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. Fire Chief Javier Campos mentioned how he has been in contact with the Hidalgo County Emergency Management Coordinator.
