Doctors from two local hospitals talk about the spike in COVID-19 cases they’ve witnessed in the last few days.
After Governor Greg Abbott acknowledged the increase in cases and limited space in hospitals, medical experts say this is something they see in our region. Health experts say we could run out of hospital beds if residents don’t take the adequate measures.
“So that is our fear, not having enough in terms of ventilators or personnel to treat these very sick patients.”

Pulomonlogist Martin Shwarcz ,who works at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Cameron County, says it is important community members continue using face masks and disinfectant if they plan on going out.
