The Texas Department of Public Safety asking the public’s help in solving the murder of Laura Guadalupe Guerra in Rio Grande City back in 1990.
Guerra’s body was found in a wooded area across the Rio Motel on May 23rd, 1990. The 22-year-old woman had been shot and killed but detectives believe she was murdered elsewhere possibly the hotel and her body dumped in the wooded area. DPS say she went missing 3 days before her body was found. Several leads were investigated but the case was never solved. An increased reward of $6,000 is offered to anyone who may have any information on Guerra’s killer.
